'Rhythyms of Bollywood' event scheduled on 14.03.2026

Embassy of India in Bishkek is organising  a 2nd edition of “Days of Indian Cinema” from 15-18 March 2026 at DomKino Cinema House named after Ch. Aytmatov, Bishkek in association with Department of Cinematography and State Institution State Cinema Center Kyrgyztasmasy under the Ministry of Culture, Information and Youth Policy of Kyrgyz Republic. 

2.     The Opening ceremony will take place at Kyrgyz National Academic Drama Theater named after T. Abdumunov, Bishkek on 14 March 2026 (Saturday) from 1200 hrs with concert titled  “Rhythms of Bollywood” - a vibrant Bollywood dance extravaganza performed by the Kauhar Dance ensemble.

3.     The ‘Days of Indian Cinema’ will run for four days at DomKino Cinema House, Bishkek from 15-18 March 2026. The lineup includes following Indian films:

(I) 15 March 2026 | 1200 hrs: Mary Kom (Hindi | Dubbed in Russian): A chronicle of the life of Indian boxer Mary Kom, who went through several hardships before audaciously accomplishing her ultimate dream.

(ii) 16 March 2026 | 1200 hrs: Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (Hindi | Dubbed in Russian): The truth behind the ascension of Milkha Singh, who was scarred by the India-Pakistan partition.

(iii) 17 March 2026 | 1200 hrs: Boomba Ride (Assamese | Russian Subtitles): The film is about a lower primary school where the main struggle of the teachers is to keep the school alive as it has only one student, named Boomba.

(iv) 18 March 2026 | 1200 hrs: Mhorkya (Marathi | Russian Subtitles): Known for leading the herd with his powerful voice, a fourteen-year-old boy is recognized for this particular skill at the republic day parade and is asked to compete for the parade's leadership spot.

4.     The screening is free of cost and the seating is on first-cum-first serve basis at DumKino Cinema House for all days from 1200 hrs. 

5.     The ‘Days of Indian Cinema’ is being organized with support of Ministry of Information & Broadcasting and National Films Development Corporation (NFDC) of India.
