 Visa-Free Facility

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic in its Press Release dated October 16, 2023 announced that a visa-free facility is being introduced for up to 7 days for citizens of India subject to certain conditions for entry into the Kyrgyz Republic. In particular, citizens of India who are  holders of long-term multiple-entry visas from countries such as the USA, Great Britain and the Schengen Zone will be extended with visa-free facility for a period of up to 7 days in the Kyrgyz Republic with a right to re-enter after 21 days from the date of departure from the Kyrgyz Republic.

The visa-free facility to the above category of Indian citizens is subject to the following conditions:

i)  Only Indian nationals entering Kyrgyzstan by air through Manas International Airport would be granted visa free regime and not to those entering Kyrgyzstan through other ports or means.
ii) The US/UK/Schengen Zone visa must be on the Current and valid Passport of the visitor and not on Old and cancelled Passport. Further, the US/UK Schengen Zone visa must have a minimum validity of 03 years, irrespective of the Visa Type, for the grant of visa free regime.
iii) If a person entered under visa free regime is forced to stay back after 7-day visa free period due to unforeseen circumstances like cancellation of flight /bad weather/ technical glitches/ hospitalization etc. the individual would have to take Exit visa as in the normal case by paying applicable charges and no special benefits under visa free regime are provided in such cases.
