Passport Services

Applicants are requested to apply though the given web Link https://mportal.passportindia.gov.in/gpsp for Fresh / Re-issue (Renewal/ Lost/ Damage) of Passport, Police Clearance Certificate (PCC), Emergency Certificate (EC), Surrender Certificate, etc.

2. The following are the steps to apply for Passport Services online at https://mportal.passportindia.gov.in/gpsp:

Step 1:Create USER ID by clicking on Register

Step 2:Login using the USER ID and fill the application form online. 

Step 3: Submit the form online. 

Step 4: Take a print out of the application form.

Step 5:Affix your recent coloured photograph (white background with size 2” X 2“) at the designated place. 

Step 6:Enclose the following Annexures/ Affidavits, as applicable:

1. Identity Certificate (Annexure "A")
2. Declaration of Parent/Guardian for Minor Passports (one parent not given consent) (Annexure "C")
3. Declaration of Parent/Guardian for Minor Passports (Annexure "D")
4. Specimen Affidavit for a passport in lieu of lost/ damaged passport (Annexure "F")
5. No Objection Certificate (Annexure "G")
6. Prior Intimation Letter (Annexure "H")
7. A Declaration affirming the particulars furnished in the application about the minor (Annexure "I")
8. Special cases of minors requiring passports. (Appendix "12")
9. Authority letter

Step 6:The completed application may be submitted at the Embassy on any working day between 09.30 and 12.30 hours along with other required documents.

3. Applicants may sometimes face difficulties in accessing the online application format due to technical reasons. In such circumstances, it is advisable to wait and attempt after some time. Applicants are also advised to use computers with latest version of the operating system and software systems.
 
4. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR PASSPORT APPLICANTS 
   1. All applications should be filled in with full details. Incomplete applications would be rejected.
   2. All applications must be accompanied by photocopies of their current passports.
   3. All photocopied documents must be self-attested by the applicants. In case of children below, 15 years, their parents must attest the photocopies.
   4. Embassy can call any applicant for interview in case the documents are not in order or the application is incomplete.
   5. Applicants are responsible for the details mentioned in the application.
   6. Applicants are liable for legal action if they provide false information.
   7. The photos submitted for all types of passport services must have been taken within three months of the date of application.
   8. Applicants must check all entries in Passport application forms before submission. It is the responsibility of the applicant to give correct details, spelling, etc.
 

5. Applicants are requested to note that New Passport booklets are printed in India. Applicants will be intimated through e-mail/ telephone/ mobile phone upon receipt of their new passports from India.Applicants are requested to provide their E-mail ID / Contact numbers at the Embassy while submitting their ONLINE Application.

 
6. Time Schedule for Passport services:
   1. Issue of New Passports/ Re-issue (Renewal/ Lost/ Damaged) Passports: 2-3 Weeks.
   2. Delivery of Passports: 1600 hrs to 1700 hrs on all working days.
 
7. Categories of Fees Payable in respect of applications for Passport, OCI Card and other Travel Documents w.e.f 01.07.2026: 

   1. PASSPORT

       

   (a) Applicants (18 years & above, also applicable to minors aged between 15-18 years):
