            Embassy of India in Bishkek is organising “Days of Indian Cinema” from 21-24 November 2025, in association with Department of Cinematography under Ministry of Culture, Information & Youth Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic. This landmark event marks a historic moment and Indian films will be screened on the big screen in Bishkek, with English/Kyrygz/Russian subtitles. 

 

2.         The Opening ceremony will take place at Kyrgyz National Drama theatre, Bishkek on Friday, 21 November 2025 from 6 PM with cultural evening of Bollywood dances by ‘Kauhar’ Group and ‘Taberik’ group of Bishkek followed by screening of Aamir Khan starrer  “Dangal” (transl. 'wrestling bout')  from 7 PM. This Bollywood blockbuster is inspired by true story of a journey of a former wrestler who  trains his daughters to become world class wrestlers.  The film is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao under Aamir Khan Productions). 

 

3.         The ‘Days of Indian Cinema’ will run for three days at Ala Too Cinema from 22-24 November 2025 . The lineup includes three renowned Indian films:

(I) On 22 November (Saturday) : Screening of “Dilwale Dulhaniya le jayenge (k/subtitles -starring Shahrukh Khan Khan) from 2 PM;

(ii) On 23 November (Sunday)  : Screening of ‘English Vinglish’ (R/subtitles)(starring Sri Devi) from 2 PM;

(iii) On 24 November (Monday) : Screening of  ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ (R/subtitles) (starring Hrithik Roshan) from 2 PM.

 

4.         Indian movies are being screened free of cost, and seating is on first-cum-first serve basis at Ala too Cinema. 

 

5.         The ‘Days of Indian Cinema’  is being organized with support of Ministry of Information & Broadcasting and National Films Development Corporation (NFDC) of India. It aims to strengthen the cultural bond between India and Kyrygz Republic, celebrating shared values and storytelling traditions and  to present the richness of Indian cinema.
