10th Ayurveda Day Celebrations on 23 September 2025

Embassy of India, Bishkek Celebrated 10th National Ayurveda Day 2025 on Tuesday, 23 September 2025 with a series of enlightening events and activities aimed at promoting the timeless wisdom of Ayurveda, India's ancient holistic system of medicine. This year's theme, "Ayurveda for People & Planet," underscores the profound role of Ayurveda in fostering sustainable health practices for individuals, communities, and the environment.

2. Government of India has gazetted September 23 as the fixed annual date for Ayurveda Day, aligning with the autumnal equinox to symbolize balance in nature—a core principle of Ayurvedic philosophy.


3. The celebrations commenced with welcome remarks by the Ambassador on the importance of adoption of Ayurveda in our lives. Ms. Sabira Baratbaeva. local Ayurveda practitioner, delivered an insightful keynote on integrating Ayurveda principles into daily life, highlighting herbal remedies, seasonal detoxification (Ritucharya), and the system's contributions to global wellness. This was followed by online session and presentation by Dr Satyajith Kadkol, Doctor of Panchkarma from India. During the Question & Answer session, many queries were raised from the participants from the Speaker on many ayurveda products. Embassy also displayed the local Ayurveda products sourced from India under ‘vocal for local’ campaign. Local vendors also displayed Ayurveda products during the event. Embassy invited poster-making entries on Ayurvedic themes to encourage creative engagement with Diaspora and the entries received from Indian medical student were displayed in the gallery.

4. Ms Cholpon Shamsudin, Deputy Director of the Deptt of Disease Prevention and Stat Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance from Kyrgyz Ministry of Health graced the event and delivered her address. Representative from Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyz Republic also attended the event. Members of the Indian diaspora, joined over 50 attendees, including Yoga and Hindi class student.

5. Ambassador extended his warm greetings, stating, "Ayurveda is not merely a medical science but a way of life that promotes harmony between body, mind, and nature. As we celebrate this milestone, the Embassy reaffirms its commitment to strengthening India-Kyrgyzstan ties through cultural exchanges in traditional medicine, fostering mutual well-being and sustainable development."

6. Participants were served authentic Ayurvedic refreshments, such as herbal drinks/Amla candies (sources from India) and sattvic millet snacks, prepared using locally sourced ingredients.
