Press Release for Hindi Day celebrations on 15.9.2025

PRESS RELEASE

Embassy of India celebrated Hindi Diwas, and announced the commencement of Hindi language classes at the Ayush Hall of the Embassy thrice a week.  Already ten people have registered for the free Hindi classes and presented their introductory sentences in Hindi during the Event.

2.         Hindi Diwas is observed annually on September 14, for promoting Hindi as a vibrant symbol of India's rich cultural heritage and national unity. This year marks the 76th anniversary of the Constituent Assembly's adoption of Hindi as the State language of the Republic of India on September 14, 1949. Hindi Diwas serves as a reminder of the language's pivotal role in fostering linguistic harmony across the nation's diverse tapestry of cultures and communities. Hindi, spoken by over 600 million people worldwide as a first or second language, stands as the third most spoken language globally. It not only bridges regional divides within India but also enhances the country's soft power on the international stage.

3.         To celebrate the Hindi day, Embassy of India, Bishkek invited online entries for participation in a series of competitions including essay writing competitions and poem writing. More than 50 students participated in the event and presented their entries and were awarded prizes. Ambassador addressed the gathering and welcomed the guests.  The event was followed by cultural performance by Indian students band with singing of Hindi songs.  Members of Indian Diaspora, Embassy staff and students of Yoga and Hindi classes attended the celebrations. The event was covered by local Press & Media.
