 PRESS RELEASE
             The Embassy of India celebrated Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Day 2025 in the city of Osh in Kyrygz Republic on 27 March 2025 at Alai Conference Hall, Jannat Resort, Osh. More than 70 people including ITEC alumni from Osh and Jalal-Abad attended the ITEC Day.  Senior officials from Osh Governor and Mayor’s Office,  Dean and Vice Dean of Osh State University and Jalal-Abad State University,  student coordinators from Osh and Jalal-Abad, prominent Kyrgyz nationals from the city of Osh and Jalal-Abad attended the event. Senior officials and representatives from Ministry of Interior Affairs, Ministry of Culture,  Ministry of Defence of Kyrgyz Republic, local Press Media and Television channels attended the ITEC Day reception at Osh.
 
2. H.E. Mr Nurbek Kadyrov, Vice Mayor of the Osh city graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and addressed the ITEC alumni and expressed gratitude to the Government of India for its efforts in advancing ITEC courses and its impact in enhancing human capital in Osh and beyond, fostering development and India-Kyrgyz ties.
 
3. Ambassador Shri Birender Singh Yadav in his welcome remarks stressed on the need for nomination of more Government officials from the City of Osh and Jalal-Abad to participate in this Capacity building and skill enhancing training courses under ITEC.
 
4.  This was followed by presentations by ITEC alumni who shared their learning experience in India and how they could contribute to their own country after attending these training programmes. A short film on ITEC Day was screened which was followed by cultural program presented by Indian nedical students of Osh State University, and Dance ensemble from the city of Osh who paritcipated in the Surajkund Crafts Fair in Haryana in February 2025.  A short Yoga demonstration was presented by trainers of Yoga Mama studio at Osh.

6. More than 1500 Kyrgyz nationals and defence personnel have availed of the specialized capacity building training programmes so far. 100 training slots are allocated for the Kyrgyz Republic under ITEC Programme every year and Embassy is making all efforts  to raise awareness by highlighting and promoting the impact of ITEC courses by engaging in various outreach efforts though its community engagement and communication initiatives.
