Celebration of 'World Hindi Day' 2024

Embassy of India, Bishkek, celebrated ‘World Hindi Day’ on 10th January, 2024. The First World Hindi Conference was held in Nagpur on this day in 1975 with the aim to promote the Hindi language worldwide and since then, every year 10th January is observed as World Hindi Day.

  1. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Mr. Evgeny Kablukov, Envoy Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic, Indologist and Acting Professor of International Relations and Oriental Studies, Kyrgyz National University.
  2. The event was jointly inaugurated by Mr. Evgeny Kablukov and Ambassador Mr. Arun Kumar Chatterjee with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. The message from the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi on World Hindi Day was read out. Both Ambassador and Mr. Kablukov addressed the gathering.
  3. In order to promote Hindi language, the Embassy organised Hindi essay writing, handwriting and poetry writing competition in the Kyrgyz Republic. There was enthusiastic participation in this competition. The winners and participants were felicitated on this occasion by the Chief Guest.
  4. Some of the Winners recited their poems at this event. There was a cultural performance by the students of Kathak dance at the classes being conducted by the Embassy.
