Second Security Dialogue between India and the Kyrgyz Republic

         The Second Security Dialogue between India and the Kyrgyz Republic was held in the Kyrgyz Republic on 17-18 July, 2023. The delegation from India was led by H.E. Mr. Vikram Misri, Deputy National Security Advisor of India, while the Kyrgyz Republic was led by H.E. Mr. Marat Mukanovich Imankulov, Secretary of the Security Council of the Kyrgyz Republic.

2. Discussions at the Security Dialogue focused on bilateral, regional and international issues of mutual concern, the threats and challenges being faced by both the countries, including the situation in Afghanistan. Both sides welcomed the similarity of views on these matters and agreed upon further steps that need to be taken to increase bilateral security cooperation between the relevant organisations, including in the fields of counter-terrorism, combating radicalisation, narcotics control and defence cooperation.

3. During this visit, H.E. Mr. Vikram Misri called on H.E. Mr. Zheenbek Kulubaev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
