Visit of Delegation from the Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, India to the Kyrgyz Republic, 3^rd to 6^th July, 2023

        A three-member delegation from the DRDO visited the Kyrgyz Republic from 3^rd to 6^th July, 2023, as an outcome of the Memorandum of Collaboration (MoC) signed by the Republic of India and the Kyrgyz Republic during the visit of Prime Minister of India H.E. Mr Narendra Modi to the Kyrgyz Republic in June 2019, on research in the field of high-altitude biology and medicine, to be jointly conducted by the Defence Institute of Physiology and Allied Sciences, DRDO and the National Centre for Cardiology and Internal Medicine of the Kyrgyz Republic. The delegation was led by Dr. Upendra Kumar Singh, Distinguished Scientist, Director General (Life Sciences), DRDO.

2. During the visit, Dr U.K. Singh led the delegation at the meeting of the Governing Council of the Kyrgyz-India Mountain Biomedical Research Centre (KIMBMRC), which discussed the commencement of 3^rdPhase of Research as per the MoC. They also visited the field outstations of the KIMBMRC at Too Ashuu and Sook Ashuu Passes.

3. The delegation called on the Deputy Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, H.E. Mr. Sadykov Ulan Asanbekovich on 4^thJuly, 2023 and discussed future avenues for joint research in the field of high-altitude biology and medicine.
