It fills my heart with joy to see so many of you gathered here this morning—not just to practice yoga, but to celebrate a timeless gift of India to the world… a gift of inner peace, physical vitality, and global unity.
A Vision from India to the World
Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the International Day of Yoga (IDY) has emerged as a global movement, fostering well-being, peace, and harmony, and bringing people together worldwide through the timeless wisdom of Yoga. The world recognised that yoga is not just exercise—it’s a philosophy of life. It’s a way of returning to our natural state of balance, of compassion, of awareness.
This year, under the theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health,” the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India reminds us that the wellbeing of people and the planet are deeply connected. In his words:
“Yoga is not limited to mat. Yoga is not limited to a posture. It is a way of living. A way of being aligned with the inner and the outer.”
When we practice yoga, we are not just strengthening our body—we are nurturing the health of humanity and the harmony of the Earth.
In his letter dated 15 May 2025, Prime Minister of India thanked, and conveyed his gratitude to H.E. Mr Sadyr Zhaparaov, the President of Kyrgyz Republic for his steadfast support and contribution in promoting Yoga in Kyrgyz Republic.
